24 Aug 5 Wedding Guest Attire Dresses You Can Wear this Season
Reading time: 4 minutes
Wedding season is upon us and finding beautiful wedding guest attire dresses for each wedding can be hard! I went through my closet and pulled out 5 dresses I would wear to a wedding.
The goal is to provide you with inspiration and guidance as to what you can wear for the big day.
Keep reading to find out which dresses are appropriate for which type of venue and how to style each look as an elegant young professional.
LBD with Pockets

This little black dress is actually one of my favourites in my closet. It accentuates my curves, its structure is well built and it’s not too long.
I love this dress, especially because it’s one of the few I own that I don’t feel self conscious in, as it hides everything I don’t feel comfortable showing off. This is the advantage of wearing a fit and flare dress to a wedding: you can eat a lot of food and it’ll never show!
It’s also very comfortable and the skirt has a nice bounce, which is great for an evening of dancing and partying. Not to mention this dress has pockets!
As for the rest of the look, I would pair the dress with statement accessories, a black or red high heel and style my hair in a high a ponytail.
Pink Mid Length Skirt

This little pink ensemble would be perfect for a beach side or a rustic wedding. The flowing skirt has a very whimsical feel and is awesome for twirling around on the dance floor.
I kept the rest of the look pretty simple by adding a pair of light pink high heel shoes and statement earrings. I would even straighten my hair for the wedding and create a dainty braided crown round my head to finish it off.
Black Tie Dress

This dress is the type I would wear to a black tie wedding. The pattern is quite prominent and the dress is partly made of silk, which gives it a beautiful sheen.
It is also a longer dress, which makes it fancier than a regular cocktail dress.
I would pair the dress with stiletto heels in a solid color (most colors would match the black and white in the dress) and a matching set of dainty jewelry consisting of earrings, a necklace and a bracelet.
In this case, my hair is in a high ponytail, but I would wear it in an updo or a bun as well.
Classic LBD

This is a classic black dress you could wear to almost any type of wedding. It’s form fitting, accentuates my waist and covers up my thighs. It’s the perfect dress for an hourglass or a pear figure like myself.
For some reason, when I wear this dress, it makes me feel like I can have more fun than in a traditional dress (maybe because it’s more revealing?).
Due to that feeling, I would wear either really fun statement earrings or a great necklace as jewelry. As for hair, I would either have it up in a ponytail like in the picture or down with big soft waves.
Colorful Dress

This last dress is great for a wedding this season because the color is totally summer appropriate.
You will definitely catch a few eyes and feel like a Spanish dancer with those ruffles on the sleeves. This dress is really fun and great for a wedding if you want to stand out in the crowd.
