# 1 Infinity
Step 1: Tie a knot with the ends of the scarf.
Step 2: Put the knot behind your head and wrap the scarf around your neck twice.
Tying it this way is great if you don’t already own an infinity scarf, but want to wear the look. I tend to wear it in this manner if I want my neck and chest to be covered, or if the ends of the scarf are simply in my way.
# 2 Looped
Step 1: Fold it in half and expose the loop.
Step 2: Position it around your neck and pass the loose side through the loop.
Step 3: Pull it in place.
This look is really easy for when you’re rushing out the door. It’s literally only two steps and can even be tied in the car, or on the way to your destination.
# 3 Braided
Step 1: Fold the scarf in half and expose the loop at the end.
Step 2: Place the scarf around your neck and only pass one of the loose ends through the loop.
Step 3: Expose the loop again.
Step 4: Pass the second loose end underneath the loop, and then into the loop from the top.
Step 5: Pull everything in place.
I personally love this particular scarf look! This is my go-to method when I really want to dress to impress. It looks like a fancy, complicated braid, but is actually easier to recreate than you’d think.
Not to mention, this beige, long scarf is a staple item in a woman’s closet due to its versatility.
# 4 Over the Shoulder
Toss one of the ends over your shoulder
Although this look is the simplest one in the entire article, it’s one of the most posh and elegant. Wearing it this way gives you both a nonchalant and sophisticated appearance at the same time.
# 5 Classic Wrap
Warp one of the loose ends once around the neck.
Because this scarf is so thick, simply tying it around your neck once is enough to draw out attention. It’ll definitely keep you warm, and looks really nice paired with a casual outfit, such as leggings and a sweater.
Additionally, you’ll undeniably feel comfortable and cute in this scarf.
# 5 Twisted
Tuck in the end you used to warp the scarf around your neck, into the loop itself.
When it starts to really get cold, I take the extra step and secure the scarf in place. I like the way it wraps about my neck tightly, but also how it looks like a cinnamon bun (LOL anyone else notice this? – comment below if you did).
# 6 A Cape
Fold it in half and wear it over your shoulders.
I wear my scarf like this indoors for extra comfort throughout the entire winter. It’s simply another unique way of utilizing your scarves for both warmth and style.
This scarf/cape look is great for taking your office outfit from day to night as well. Pair it with a turtleneck, heels and a sleeked bag ponytail, for a more sophisticated, evening look.
# 8 Long
Throw it behind your neck nonchalantly, and let it hang.
If you’re rushing out the door, this is the simplest, fastest and coolest way to wear your scarf. It gives you such a carefree & fashionable appearance. This style also looks great with literally any outfit.
# 9 A Tight Wrap
Wrap the scarf twice around the neck and make one tie to secure it in place.
Again, the way this scarf is wrapped makes it seem as though it is much hard to tie than it actually is. It’s one of those options you keep in the back of your mind for that time you need to dress up, and make it seem like it took you hours to get ready.
Additionally, it’s a great way to tie a scarf elegantly to make you feel like you’re the boss.
# 10 A Necklace
Make a knot with both ends and place the scarf around your neck.
The way this one is tied makes it appropriate for a variety of settings. Whether you’re going to a business casual occasion or a formal event, this scarf tie will be appropriate for both.
Because it truly appears like a statement necklace more than a scarf, this look is sure to be an awesome conversation starter.
Bonus! The tie
Tie a tight double knot around the neck and move the knot slightly to the side.
This flight-attendant inspired tie is cute if you’re looking for something a little more sprezzatura. It’s super simple, but also looks put-together at the same time.
Learning to tie a neck scarf style different ways can add such variety and spice to both your closet and your outfits. These scarf tying techniques are really handy for you to remember if you have a limited wardrobe and little amount of time .
