Banana Republic – I love Banana Republic for all things workwear. The quality of the garments are great and the clothing flatters almost everyones body type. What is also awesome about this store is they often do sales so you can get great office pieces at a discount. Their clothing is also timeless and can withstand many many years of wear and tear. Highly recommend investing in Banana Republic clothing for your office wardrobe.
Talbots – Much like Banana Republic, Talbots‘ garments are really foolproof and professional looking. They are well made as well and will last you years to come. The offer a variety or neutral and timeless pieces that will allow you to complete your workwear collections easily. If you find the prices a little steep, then I highly recommend shopping the Talbots sales.
COS – COS has beautifully crafted pieces that are a little bit more on the trendier side. The collections at COS definitely have a certain look to them and although a lot of their pieces are very boxy and symmetrical, they are made very flattering on the figure. Believe it or not, COS is owned by H&M and cater to a young professional audience who are looking for quality garments to add to their workwear wardrobes.
H&M – I LOVE H&M‘s workwear collection. It is easily my favourite store to shop at. The workwear in particular is really comfortable, it’s always stylish and it’s flattering on most women’s body types. Not to mention, it is so easily accessible whether I am looking for garments online or in person. Best of all, it is always a reasonable price. If you’re on a budget then I really recommend H&M‘s workwear. I personally own many pairs of H&M dress pants, skirts and blazers from this collection that I wear none-stop.
Matt & Nat – When it comes to shoes and handbags for work, Matt & Nat takes the cake. Not only are their products vegan, but they are very well made and priced reasonably for the quality. They also have many timeless and trendy options to appeal to everyone. I wear Matt & Nat handbags all the time to go to meetings or simply to carry around my belongings.
H&M Sweaters – If you want a stunning, comfortable, good quality sweater, you’ll love the H&M Wool-Blend Sweaters as much as I do. They are the only sweaters I buy because they are good value for money. Not to mention, they are accessible and stylish for the colder months.
American Eagle Jeans – American Eagle in my opinion make the best jeans since they are the best value for money. They are easy to style, easy to buy and a good price.
Leggings – No one makes better leggings than Lululemon. Personally, I workout 4 times a week and do mainly bootcamp and TRX classes. Since my workouts are a mixture of cardio, weight training and bodyweight training, I never leave the house without my Lululemon leggings on. My absolute favorite design is the Speed Up because they compress my body in a comfortable way and they are flattering on the figure. These leggings also highlight curves very nicely. Lastly, the material of the Speed Up’s is thick and sturdy, which is amazing for an intense workout.
Fitness Shoes – The best fitness shoes on the market for someone that trains regularly are from the brand Asics. They aren’t the most stylish training shoes, but when it comes to your fitness, you absolutely want to prioritize your health. Contrary to popular belief, Nike trainers are not as good quality for your feet and overall body when it comes to exercising. However, I urge you to double check this with your doctor. Additionally, Asics has released a few more stylish models in the recent years.
Gym Gloves – If you’re one to lift weights or do many exercises using your hands, a good pair of gloves can go a long way. They protect your hands from callus and help you grip the equipment better. I use the Harbinger Power Gloves that I purchased from Amazon. They are affordable and perfect for the size of my hands.
Water Bottle – There’s truly nothing like a fresh glass of water after a hard workout. I love the S’well water bottles because they keep my water cold for 24 hours. That means not only can I prepare my water the night before, but it’ll stay cold throughout the night until I am ready to drink it after my workout. Love a good S’well bottle!
Fitness Tracker – By all means my favourite fitness activity tracker is my Fitbit Inspire HR. It tracks my steps, calories, heart rate and more! I love how it syncs to my MINDBODY app and can track how many calories I have burned during my workout classes. I also love the Inspire HR particularly because it is more understated and sleek on the wrist. I didn’t like the idea of a bulky fitness tracker. As well, it’s under $100 which is great.
Quality Jewelry – When it comes to quality jewelry, one retailer come to mind: Swarovski Crystal. They make affordable luxury jewelry that looks timeless and elegant with all of your outfits. I have quite a few pieces from Swarovski I wear regularly and I must say they still look just as nice as the day I got them many years ago. These pieces also make fantastic gifts.
Costume Jewelry – When it comes to fun, cheap costume pieces, H&M hands down has my favorite, trendy jewelry pieces. Not only are they affordable but they allow me to keep up with trends and to play up my outfits very easily. I especially love wearing their statement earrings.
Watches – Michael Kors watches are definitely my go-to. They are affordable luxury and look really nice on the writs. I own two and are the only ones I enjoy wearing. They are tasteful and elegant. As well, they don’t break the bank like designer watches do and they actually last for years. One of my Michael Kors watches I have owned and worn almost daily for 5 years.
Skincare – I LOVE Egyptian Magic. It’s made up of only 6 all natural ingredients that are anti-fungal. This is the most moisturizing product I own and a little goes a long way. It is amazing in the wintertime.
Lip Balm – Burts Bees Lip Balms are my jam. I cannot leave the house without one because of how moisturizing the formula is. As well, it has super clean ingredients which I very much appreciate.
Shampoo/Conditioner – I am a sucker for a good natural brand and Olaplex is no exception. They are the standard in the industry for natural shampoo and conditioner. Nothing else compares! They leave my hair feeling fresh, healthy and shiny after each wash. Olaplex is definitely worth the price tag.
Curly Hair Styling Product – THE WAVE MAKER by Cake is my favourite curly hair styling product. I apply it on wet hair and let it air dry. It defines my curls and contains relatively clean ingredients that don’t damage my hair. THE WAVE MAKER also happens to be a vegan product.
Straight Hair Styling Product – My go-to is always the John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Fixation Styling Creme. It is so easy to find at the pharmacy and it keeps me hair straight for longer. I apply it on wet hair before I blow dry and straighten my hair. This product really helps keep my hair looking sleek for longer. I never straighten my hair without it!
Hair Dryer – I have totally stopped using the typical blow driers ever since I’ve discovered the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer. It is amazing! It’s very affordable and helps me blow out my hair in half the time it used to take. My hair is always left looking shiny and feeling soft after I use this product. A must for anyone who regularly blows out their hair.
Eye Shadow Palette – My go-to eye shadow palette for all of my eye looks is the Tartelette Toasted by Tarte. It has a lot of earth tones and easy shades to work with. It is also small enough to transport and contains a really big mirror.
Mascara – Maybelline Rocket in waterproof is the mascara I’ve been using it for years! It is actually the only mascara I use anymore because it’s affordable, voluminous, it doesn’t clump, it’s buildable and it’s long-lasting. I only wear the waterproof one to hold the eyelash curl and to prevent smudging under my lower lash-line at the end of the day.
Nail Polish Top Coat – Sally Hansen Insta-Dri has been my faourite top coat for years as well. Believe it or not, I don’t love the Seche Vite as much as the Insta-Dri. The Insta-Dri dries my nails to the touch in 10 minutes or less and the formula lasts longer. This means, the product in the bottle doesn’t go bad as quickly in the bottle as the Seche Vite.
Laptop – I rarely leave the house without my MacBook Pro 13 inch. It contains my work life on it and works very smoothly with all of my other apple products. I cannot live without this laptop. Yes, it is worth every penny.
Briefcase Bag – Matt & Nat make the best vegan leather handbags, one of which I use to carry my laptop and all other office essentials. The bags are good quality and durable for long journeys. Matt & Nat bags are also very stylish, while looking classic at the same time.
