Tip number one: wear the same shade of jean for a tamer look.
When you wear the same shade, the outfit looks almost like a casual suit or a predetermined set. It’s more consistent and you don’t look like a colourful mess with different shades of jeans.
The real key is to pick jeans and a jacket without a pattern or large rips. It’ll look cleaner and less busy, making it easier to pull off. The darker shade of blue is also beneficial to pull off this look because it’s more muted and sliming on the body.
Now, if you’re into even more daring looks, then wearing different shades of jeans may be an option for you. The key here is to wear a colorful pair of pants with a neutral jacket.
If Andrew had paired his mustard pants with a colorful jean jacket, it would’ve been overwhelming.
Tip number two: break it up with a statement shoe.
Because Marc’s jeans and jacket are the same neutral, dark blue color, then you can get away with a brighter shoe.
You can also keep it really simple with a white t-shirt if you want to make the look more wearable. In the picture, Marc even matched his white shirt with his white converse.
His look is still a statement with the jeans on jeans, but becomes easier to wear with the white accent pieces.
Tip number three: don’t wear this look everyday.
If you wear this outfit occasionally, it’ll make more of an impact and you’ll be able to get away with it much more.
This look is hard to pull off, so unless you have to wear this to work, people will remember if you’re constantly wearing it out.

A lot of people don’t like this look because it’s more editorial. When it’s done right, however, it can look awesome on a normal basis.
Because many guys don’t attempt at pulling off this look, when you walk into a room, people will undoubtedly notice your outfit and that you’re daring enough to wear this combination.
Tip number five: this look has one major advantage.
You can wear this outfit year round. It’s the type of outfit that actually looks good during any season because jeans are timeless.
The only thing you’ll be changing according to the weather is your shirt and maybe your shoes.
