Look # 1: Fit n’ Flare

I wore this beautiful COS dress last Christmas Eve for our annual family dinner. As soon as I saw it in the store, I couldn’t wait to try it on! It’s really well made and consists of a thick fabric that shapes your figure in a flattering way.

Because it is flared at the bottom, I was comfortable all night and could eat as much as I wanted, without feeling confined by my dress. The pleats of this dress also fall perfectly around the dress and actually stay put all evening.

I paired the elegant dress with a simple black heel, as I don’t own a red pump.

For accessories, I wanted to wear a statement item that would contrast against the black. I went for a chunky gold chain necklace I had purchased from H&M and a pair of stud earrings.

FYI: Here’s a guide to help you accessorize your holiday looks.

Look # 2: Leather Skirt + Sweater

I wore this look last year on Christmas Day because I loved the fact that it showcased an attire that was fancy and comfortable simultaneously.

Since we had the whole family coming over, I wanted to wear an outfit I felt comfortable enough to run around in, but that was still presentable for the event.

I chose my mini leather skirt and a grey sweater, both of which were purchased from H&M. Also, I added a sheer pair of black tights to the look for a little more dimension and warmth.

I finished off this comfy-chic outfit with red nails, a dainty necklace and a pair of leather heeled boots from l’intervalle.

Look # 3: Bodycon Skirt

This look was worn to a holiday party a year ago as well. I chose something a little bit different than what I normally wear, but thought a bodycon ensemble would be fun for this time of year.

I paired a forest green long sleeve blouse from H&M with a fitted white skirt from Aritzia. As for the shoes and accessories, I wore my pink pumps from Winners and my black Coach bag.

Since this look was more about the formfitting skirt than anything else, I didn’t want to add any loud accessories that would distract from the bodycon outfit.

I kept the jewelry simple with my Micheal Kors watch, a delicate necklace and a couple of rings.

Look # 4: Wrap Dress

I’ve never actually worn this dress from Zara to a holiday party, as I simply have not had the chance to. However, if the opportunity arises this year, I most definitely will!

I love the fact that the color of the dress is actually a forest green, as opposed to a standard black. It’s different from anything I have in my closet and it is honestly a really fun dress to wear!

Additionally, there is ruching at the stomach area, which makes it very flattering on every body type.

Pair this dress with fun party accessories and you’re good to go!

Look # 5: Bodycon LBD

I wore this dress from H&M a couple of years ago to a New Years Eve party. It’s very simple, but is made of a velvet material all around. This one also has ruching at the stomach and falls right below the knee in a formfitting way.

The thing about velvet dresses is that they tend to be really stretchy, so they are a great option if you want a comfortable dress for your event.

Once again, I paired the  dress with my chunky chain necklace and a pair of black pumps.

Look # 1: Sequence + Flared Trousers

This is a party look I find a little more unique than a dress. Wearing flared dress pants and a fun blouse is definitely an option that flatters almost everyone’s body type!

You really cannot go wrong with sequence around the holidays too.

This look tends to be really easy to recreate as well, since most women own a pair of flared dress pants and a pretty blouse already.

You can even take this outfit a step further and wear a pair of cream dress pants instead. It’s one of the classiest, elegant, but also bold clothing choices to make in the wintertime.

Honestly, you cannot go wrong with a pretty red dress this time of year. My sister wore a bright red dress for Christmas Eve one year, with a red lip and a black pump.

Let me tell you, she looked gorgeous! A little bit of red never killed anyone around the holidays, so take full advantage of that and showcase all of your beautiful red clothing pieces!

Look # 3 Plaid Skirt + Over the Knee Boots

Plaid is also very classic for this time of year. In this look, she kept it simple by wearing black pieces all around and letting the red plaid skirt do all the talking!

Paired with nice suede, over the knee boots, and you’ve got yourself the perfect holiday outfit.

Finish it off with a red lip, as well as a statement necklace if you want to be turning heads all evening long.

Look # 4: Midi Skirt

This outfit is probably my favourite one in the whole article! The tulle skirt looks so whimsical that it feels as though the woman in the picture lives in a fantasy winter wonderland.

Who doesn’t want to feel that way, right??

Paired with a deep red blouse, it makes for the prettiest outfit for the holidays! You can even take it a step further and add a simple pearl necklace to tie the ensemble together.

Lastly, I couldn’t write up a holiday lookbook without a fancy jumpsuit! This article of clothing is very simple, yet classy and appropriate for the holidays. It literally does all the talking for you!

Because the outfit is black, use the accessories as your fun accent pieces by choosing a statement pair of shoes and a crazy pattern bag.
