22 Aug How to Create an After-Work Date Night Look
Reading time: 6 minutes
Do you sometimes have an after work date, but don’t have the time to go home and change first? Check out how you can get ready quickly at work and put together a date night look without having to bring your entire wardrobe to the office!
Firstly, wear this to speed up the getting ready process.

When it comes to getting ready fast, a dress is your best bet. It’s easy to throw on in the morning and is likely the most versatile clothing item in your closet.
You can even choose one that is more revealing than what you would normally wear to work and simply cover it up with a blazer or a slip (depending on the dress).
What kind of shoes should you choose?
Depending on the dress and the date setting, you can either bring a pair of flats to work and statement heels to change into later or, you can wear one pair of shoes that is appropriate for both settings.
If you bring a pair of shoes with you for the evening, then don’t hesitate to leave your flats at the office overnight.
There’s nothing worse than carry a billion bags on a date. The simpler option, however, is to wear one pair of shoes for both occasions.
If you’re going the high heel route, I suggest you make sure you know ahead of time you can survive the entire day/evening with them. If you can’t handle heels all day, a pair of ballerina flats will also do the trick.
Accessories: what to bring with you and what to leave behind?

When it comes to accessories, everyone is different. If you like wearing fun, loud, statement pieces when you go out, then you could bring them with you and quickly switch into them before leaving the office.
You could also wear the costume jewelry all day if you feel they are appropriate for daytime as well.
If you’re more of a dainty jewelry kind of gal, then you could accessorize like you normally do in the morning and not have to worry about changing your accessories later.
Let’s talk makeup!
In this case, you can make use of a miniature makeup bag to bring your essentials.
Mine includes powder, concealer, blush and eyeliner because they are small enough to carry in my purse.
Furthermore, these four items are the only ones I truly need to fix up my makeup and to add a little more drama to my look.
Utilize that office shower (if you have the luxury).

Sometimes, all we want is a nice shower after a long day of work. Many new offices now actually have showers you can use to freshen up in.
All you’ll need to bring from home is a travel size soap bottle and a towel, both of which you can leave behind at the office before your date.
Conclusion
A date night look after work can be really fun as an elegant young professional! It’s even better when you don’t have to worry about looking amazing on the go.
